Baseball

"It is an exciting time to be a part of the Patriots Baseball program.  As seniors take on leadership roles, eager to leave their mark in their final high school season, underclassmen bring fresh talent and enthusiasm to the roster. This year we add many new underclassmen and some much needed depth in talent. As the first pitch approaches, there's excitement in the air. So get ready to support this year's team and witness the highs and lows that make high school baseball such a thrilling and memorable experience for everyone." - Coach Woods

Fishing

"The Varsity and Middle School Bass Fishing teams enjoy learning about fishing and boating, while having fun in fellowship. The team meets on Sundays at local lakes and rivers for shore fishing with students and families. Each team member will also have opportunities to participate in a charter fishing trip to learn more about local fishing, a variety of lures, and the instruments on boats.  The team is looking forward to catching a few more bass this season!" - Coach Barrett

Golf

"The Varsity Girls Golf team is looking forward to a great 2024 season with nine returning players from the 2023 team that finished second place in Area and fourth place at State. Our top three players from last year are included in the returnees." - Coach Martini

"The Varsity Boys Golf team is chomping at the bit to get back out on the course and compete for a state title this season. I am excited to lead our group of talented golfers as we work to improve on our 2nd place finish at area and 4th place finish at state." - Coach Saari

Lacrosse

"The Varsity Girls Lacrosse program had a record breaking year in 2023; with the most wins in program history, leading to an Elite 8 playoff game! We hope to build on this momentum in 2024 and things are looking good with 13 new players joining the team. We are a young team but it means we are building the foundation for a powerhouse program. We have some incredible talent returning, including an All-State player and 3 Area Select Team players. I expect a lot of growth and speed from the team this year. We have amazing potential and with hard work I believe we will see some incredible things this season!" - Coach Stearns

"We are absolutely thrilled to kick off the upcoming season! Building on the momentum of our 2nd round playoff appearance last year, we've welcomed a mix of new players and seasoned returners. As our fresh offensive recruits find their groove, we're going to increase the pace of play causing odd man situations to keep the opposing teams on their toes and create scoring opportunities for ourselves. Lastly, we expect our defense to be even stronger than it was last year as we only graduated 2 defense and have 4 returners plus a few new faces from the 2027 class and the rest of the high school." - Coach Arnold

Soccer

"2024 promises to be a great year for the Lady Patriots Soccer Team. As the new head coach, we promise to be full of energy and fight as we bring an attacking offensive style to the pitch. The season starts off strong with several region opponents in the first few weeks of play so get there early, get loud, dress warm as these Patriots promise to entertain!" - Coach Yount

"2024 is going to be the turn-around season for the Boy's Soccer Program at Mount Pisgah.  With an entirely new coaching staff, bringing high-energy, high-quality training along with years of high level playing/coaching experience, the Patriot Community can expect to see a more structured and disciplined squad on the field this Spring. We're going to have an incredible season this year so we need everyone to come out and support their fellow Patriots as they begin their climb to the top. You don't want to miss the show!" - Coach Sarazine

Tennis

"The Varsity Girls Tennis team is ready for the upcoming season with a team full of veteran leaders who led the team to a Final Four finish last season. Senior Anna Suid, Juniors Megan McKinnon, Caleigh Coherd, Deya Todorova, Abby Hart, and Sophomores Ellie Plunkett, Caroline Sharp, and Ellie Richards all played a vital role in the team's success last season and are all returning with the intention of leading the team to an even better 2024 season, especially with the addition of some new Lululemon gear! Be on the lookout for opportunities to come out to support the team at our new location this season, Horseshoe Bend Country Club." - Coach Saari

"The Varsity Boys Tennis team is welcoming a lot of new players this year! We graduated 7 seniors from the 2023 season, but that is not going to stop returning players Chip Scarbrough (senior), along with sophomores Maxim Popov, Dawson Sobocinski, Jonathan Sila from leading the team to success this season! Our young team full of sophomores and freshmen will be exciting to watch so come on out to one of our home matches to cheer us on at HBCC." - Coach Saari

Track & Field

"The 2024 MPCS Boys & Girls Track teams are looking forward to the start of a great season. Coming off the heels of a stellar 2023 season - with the Boys team winning the State Championship and the Girls team finishing 3rd place at State, there are some big shoes to fill. Having lost some key seniors, we will look to younger talent to step up.

Senior Max Tucker comes into the season looking to reclaim his 400m individual State Champ title, as well as scoring in the maximum number of events for the team at State. As a Decathlete, Max's strengths could serve the team in a variety of ways. Another key returner for the boy's is Sophomore and state runner-up, Winston Simmons. Winston looks to better his state finishes in the 100, 200, and long jump. On the girls team returning is senior Savannah Simmons and junior Natania Nasieku, both crucial pieces of the Girls team as a sprinter, hurdler, and jumper. Savannah and Natania both had top 5 finishes last year at the state meet and look to accomplish even more. We will face some tough competition at Region and State this year, and look to strategize and compete in order to maximize the scoring potential of the team." - Coaches Snellings & Payne
