Patriot Community Football

Come learn to play football the right way with the right purpose! Our program is open to the community, and we have teams or programs for 3rd-8th grade.

Click here to register (3rd/4th Rookie Tackle only): https://patriot-lacrosse.sportngin.com/register/form/128577433

Our program is based on the following principles:

1. Proper technique and fundamentals are most important.
2. Focus on proper developmentally-appropriate growth.
3. Learn how to compete to the best of one's God-given abilities.
4. Foster what it means to live for and love others in a team environment.

Teams:

3/4th Grade Rookie Tackle players will be instructed in the USA Football developmental model. Players learn proper technique and fundamentals in a full pad environment with smaller rosters and smaller fields. Practices will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. 2 days/week. Games are on Saturday mornings.

5/6th Grade Football is a community based program that will have both MP and non-MP students. All non-MP students will be required to complete all MP athletic forms and a  behavior contract. The team will participate in the GMSAA league and play both private and public schools. Practices will be held in the evenings from 6:30-8. Initially practices will be 5 days a week, but will be limited to 3 or 4 days a week once games begin. The game schedule has not been posted yet, but most games will be played on Saturdays.

7/8th Grade Football is available for MP students only at this time. Practices will be held immediately after school and run 3:30-5. The team will participate in the Metro 10 league and play games on Thursdays. Similar to 5/6th, practices will initially be 5 days a week, but will shorten to 3 days a week when games begin.

Practices for both MS teams will start on August 8th.

Player will be required to have the following equipment:
  • Helmet - MP will provide helmets for both programs. If a family wishes to purchase their own (navy or white), that is permissible. Helmets must be a NOCSAE approved youth helmet with grey facemask. Suggested models are Riddell Victor - I. Other potential brands are Schutt or Xenith.
  • Shoulder pads - MP will provide pads for both programs. If a family wishes to purchase their own, that is permissible.
  • Player Pack - All players will receive a short-sleeve t-shirt, shorts, compression shirt, and 1/4 zip.
  • Football cleats - Players will need to purchase their own cleats. Metal cleats are prohibited. White or black cleats are acceptable colors.
  • 5 or 7 pad girdle - Players will need to purchase a girdle to wear under their practice pants. These can be the 5 pad or 7 pad style (If 5 pad, players will need knee pads for their pants).
